This is the first full street style skate plaza in Sydney. Perfect super smooth surface with buttery blocks, ledges and rails everywhere. Includes blocks, ledges, banked ledges, manual pads, stairs, rails, flat bar, fly-out, corner bank, steep wall and mini ramp. The park has been built over the old site of the infamous Fernside ghetto park. The mini ramp is a cut down of the original Fernside ramp. I think it would be a good idea to include in the detailed information about the skateparks whether or not they have lighting. I say this because I am new in Sydney and have visited a couple of great skateparks reviewed here but have not been able to skate them cuz it gets dark very soon and none of them had lighting.

I know, or at least ive heard, that this park is going to be changed some time in the near future, and this is probably a good thing. The steel mini is fun to skate, but it turns your wheels and clothes a dirty shade of orange when you skate it, so some of you fresher people may not want to get into it too much. The street course i fun enough, but it isnt exactly good. the concrete is in terrible condition, with holes and crack and shit everywhere. Some of the flatrails are fun to skate, and the quarters are decent, but the funbox is rubbish. Also, the fact that the whole park is made of steel means it is more noisy than i dying cat. Also, you might turn up there and think to yourself "man, you can move all the rails and shit, why dont we just steal the shit and run away".... its redfern. leave the shit alone. Overall, id say 2.5 stars. fun, but not good enough to go back to more than two or three times.
